Moonlight Amphitheatre
The Moonlight Amphitheatre is an open-air venue, available for rent outside of our own summer season. The Amphitheatre features 908 permanent seats with lawn seating for 1092 for a total capacity of 2,000.
For 40 years, the Moonlight Amphitheatre has been the site of critically acclaimed regional theatre produced by Moonlight Stage Productions. Its lawns overlook lush Brengle Terrace Park, making the Amphitheatre an ideal setting for concerts, staged productions, weddings, community and corporate gatherings, and receptions.
Amenities include adjacent parking lots within the park, box offices, concessions, fully compliant ADA access, restrooms, a large tented patio, and picnic areas.

Ticketing
Our ticketing service, VisTix, provides for all event ticketing needs. VisTix provides renters with an over-the-counter service Mon - Fri, noon - 5 pm, as well as ticket purchases over the phone, online, and at the venue. For more information about VisTix services call 760.724.2110.

AVO Playhouse
The AVO Playhouse is available for rentals year-round and is an ideal venue for any type of event from corporate meetings, lectures to stage productions. The AVO is a fully-equipped performance venue (lighting and sound systems) with a 385 seat auditorium, an elevated stage, and back stage dressing rooms with restrooms. The AVO features a concession bar area and large lobby restrooms.
Opened in 1948 as a movie theater, the AVO Playhouse was purchased by the City of Vista and elegantly restored to accommodate live performances in 1995. Annually, over forty thousand people are entertained at the AVO. Several dance companies and youth theatre organizations grace the stage regularly.
The AVO is also a community service facility hosting social service organization meetings, school graduations, and other community functions. Rental rates are affordable and include a facilities supervisor and access to all of the available in-house equipment. Additional technical and front-of-house staff is also available through the City of Vista’s Cultural Arts Division.
Rental Procedure
The first step is to determine whether the facility is available for your desired dates. Call our office at 760.643.5297 or email us. If your dates are available, a rental application will be provided to you.
Once the rental application has been completed and submitted, the fee category will be determined and the facility use will be finalized.
