Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get tickets?

Purchase online or through our box office, VisTix, at 760.724.2110, opens weekdays from noon to 5 p.m.

I can no longer attend the event, can I get a refund?

Ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Season subscribers may exchange their tickets at least 48 hours before the show date for an alternate performance of the same show for no additional charge. Single-ticket buyers may exchange tickets for another night, a $10 fee per transaction.

If you cannot attend your performance date due to COVID, please contact the box office in advance of your performance date so we can assist you with your tickets. Read the full ticket policy

What about seating?

The Moonlight Amphitheatre has two types of seating, lawn and reserved, with several different sections.

Lawn Seating

Lawn seating is available in the lawn area in the main ampitheatre as well as on the Great Lawn. Leave the lawn chairs at home as we provide them to you as part of your lawn ticket. Outside lawn chairs are not permitted.

Reserved Seats

These are traditional, stadium-style seats. There are three sections: orchestra, reserved, and fringe. You’re welcome to bring seat cushions and blankets, as long as they do not obstruct the view of those around you!

What if it rains?

Performances go on rain or shine. We rarely cancel a performance due to rain. Only in the instance of danger to audiences and our artists do we alter our performance schedule due to the weather.

Can I bring food and drinks or do I have to purchase them in the venue?

You can bring food and nonalcoholic beverages, or purchase food and drinks once you arrive!

Picnicking: bring your own picnic to the amphitheatre and enjoy social time with family and friends! We open our gates 1.5 hours before each show and guests can picnic on the Great Lawn or at a picnic table inside the amphitheatre. You may also picnic outside of the amphitheatre in Brengle Terrace Park which the theatre sits in the middle of. There are numerous picnic tables and grassy areas throughout the park.

Please note that all lawn areas in the main audience area are reserved. If you are sitting in the reserved seat section in a row with a lawn, the lawn space is part of our reserved lawn section and you are not entitled to that patch of grass.

Please also note that outside alcohol is not permitted. A variety of wine and beers are available for purchase inside the venue.

Bread and Cheese Eatery: Enjoy grilled cheese, soups, salads, fries, and other menu items from Bread and Cheese Eatery. Bread and Cheese also operates two bars within the venue; one on the patio and one behind the reserved seating section. You can reserve a table on the patio before the show for $5 a person fee.

Concessions via the bar or the concessions stand near the patio are available before the show and during intermission.

May I bring my kids? Do they need their own ticket?

Absolutely! We love to see families enjoying themselves at The Moonlight. Children three years and older are required to have a ticket. We provide content advisories for each of our musicals on our website, but we encourage parents to take an additional step and do their own research to determine if their children should attend with their parents.

What's the parking situation?

Free parking is available adjacent to the amphitheatre within Brengle Terrace Park. Look for directional signs as you drive into the park.

Is the theatre accessible?

We strive to make the amphitheatre as accessible as possible for our patrons. Learn more about parking, seating, and listening systems on our accessibility page. If you have additional questions, please contact our box office, VisTix, at 760.724.2110 as far ahead of time as possible.

What if I've lost an item?

If you believe you have lost something, please call our box office VisTix at 760.724.2110.
