MYT Summer Theatre Camp! 

Final week: July 29-August 2

Camp hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M. Drop-off will begin at 8:40am daily and afternoon pick-up will be staggered by group.

On Fridays, we put on a special free performance to showcase the hard work the campers put in all week. Each group will perform 2 musical numbers on stage at The Moonlight; family and friends are invited to attend! On August 2nd the performance will take place at 12:30 P.M. Regular camper supervision will be available after the Friday performances until 3 P.M.

Meet the Team

KateT 

Kate: Camp Director

Kate is a multifaceted theatre artist based in San Diego. She received her BFA in Theatre from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She aspires to continue developing her theatrical skills onstage and behind the scenes alongside her incredibly talented partner, Tanner Vidos. Kate has been Stage Managing professionally in San Diego for the last 3 years, and has a passion for arts education. This Fall, Kate will be joining the faculty at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace as their Drama Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. She sends a big thank you to her mom and dad for their endless love and support.

ColdenL 

Colden: Music

Colden is returning for his third year of MYT Summer Camp. As an educator, he has also worked at SDMT Academy, St. Augustine High, and Bonita Vista High. As an actor, he has worked with Moonlight Amphitheatre, CCAE Theatricals, San Diego Musical Theatre, Five Star Theatricals, Candlelight Pavilion, Sierra Repertory, The Welk Resort and Performance Riverside. He is a writer for The Theater Times, in charge of the Marc Blitzstein Archive on Youtube and is working on a dissertation regarding Kurt Weill’s Der Silbersee. Guest Host: A Musical Theater Podcast, Life’s But A Song.

EYW 

E.Y.: Music

E.Y. received their B.A. in Theater Performance from San Diego State University. Since graduating, they have performed for Moonlight Stage Productions, Cygnet Theatre, San Diego Musical Theatre, Candlelight Pavilion, the Welk Resort, North Coast Rep, and the Disneyland Resort. E.Y.‘s boisterous laugh can be found onstage and off. Follow the sound and you'll find yourself in an imaginative and joyful classroom. E.Y.’s approach to theatrical pedagogy is uncanny. It empowers students to be fearless by engaging with their craft compassionately and critically. See you at camp!

Cecilia: Dance

Cecilia (she/her) is mostly seen working backstage. Select credits include: Vanity Fair (ASM, SRT), Clyde’s (ASM, Moxie Theatre), 42nd Street (Spot Op, Moonlight), Saturday Night Fever (Deck Crew, Moonlight), Anything Goes (A2, SDMT), and Xanadu (ASM, SDMT). Additionally, she was the Assistant Choreographer for Moonlight Youth Theatre’s production of Seussical last Fall. Cecilia has most recently been working as an after-school theatre teacher with MYT with different grades and experience levels. She’s so excited to get these kids dancing their way through summer!

LarkA 

Lark: Acting

Lark (she/they) has been studying theatre for over a decade and working as a peer mentor/instructor for almost as long. Since her MYT Summer Camp debut last year, she’s been looking forward to her return to the title of Acting Instructor. Lark is thrilled to be back and is looking forward to inspiring a bright young group of actors with Moonlight Youth!

Kylie: Dance

Kylie is currently studying at Liberty University to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre, Minor in Dance, and BS in Exercise Science. She regularly teaches private voice, dance, acting, and audition prep lessons, and has had the opportunity to work as a choreographer and assistant director for Santa Fe Christian Performing Arts and Christian Youth Theatre. Regional and New York: 54 Below, Laurie Beechman Theater, Music Man (Alluvion Stage Company), Matilda (Moonlight Stage Productions), and upcoming Anastasia (Alluvion Stage Productions). She’s loved her time spent with the Moonlight family both on the stage and teaching at camp. She looks forward to sharing her passion for theatre and the arts this summer!

AnthonyV 

Anthony: Acting

Anthony (he/him) is a native San Diego performer and educator. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with his BFA in Musical Theatre in 2019. Since then, he has taught at several youth theaters and dance studios around San Diego and Orange County. You can catch him this summer performing on the Moonlight stage in Escape to Margaritaville, School of Rock, Beautiful: the Carole King Musical, and Tootsie.
