MOONLIGHT AMPHITHEATRE CONCERT SERIES RULES & POLICIES

Moonlight Amphitheatre would like you to read and review the following rules and policies. These policies are put in place so that all guests can have a safe and enjoyable visit.

 Moonlight Amphitheatre is a public facility that hosts a diverse population of local residents and visitors for a variety of events, including broadway musicals, concerts, and other special events. We take pride in providing a clean, safe environment for our guests to enjoy their favorite form of entertainment. Public safety is priority number one at Moonlight Amphitheatre and we rely on the cooperation and the good judgment of every person who enters the facility to ensure this level of safety.

 ALCOHOL

Moonlight Amphitheatre offers a variety of alcoholic beverages for purchase during your time at the venue. You are not permitted to bring any alcoholic beverages into the venue. A valid and current Driver License or State ID card is required to purchase alcohol. Guests will be required to show ID every time they purchase. 

  • POLICY FOR GUESTS UNDER AGE 21

    No possession or consumption of alcohol is allowed. Violators will be removed from the premises. (CA Business & Professions Code 25662) 

  • POLICY FOR GUESTS 21 OR OLDER

    Be prepared to show ID. For your safety and the safety of others, please drink responsibly. No intoxication, disorderly conduct, violence, or providing alcohol to minors is allowed. Violators will be prosecuted and removed from the premises. (CA Criminal Codes 647 (f), 415, 243; CA Business & Professions Code 25658) 

    BAG POLICY

    All bags are subject to search upon entry. Guests have the right to refuse a bag search and the venue has the right to refuse entry. If you have any items that are not allowed into the venue, please return them to your vehicle.

    CAMERA / VIDEO RECORDING DEVICE / BINOCULAR POLICY

    Point and shoot cameras are permitted provided they are non-professional, intended for personal use and have a non-detachable lens less than three inches in length. No video cameras are permitted. No flashes are permitted at any time.

    Guests are welcome to bring their personal binoculars for events at Moonlight Amphitheatre. Binoculars should be compact/pocket sized (no larger than 6”x6” when extended). Binoculars that have digital camera capabilities may be prohibited from being used during events that do not allow video recording of the performance.

    CONCEAL AND CARRY

    Moonlight Amphitheatre does not allow weapons on our property. Guests should follow all applicable laws regarding securing a weapon in a vehicle if they have it on them when they arrive. The venue will not secure weapons and will take no responsibility for any weapons left in vehicles.

    ENTRANCE GATES & PARKING

    There are two (2) entrance gates to the facility. Guests who wish to use the North (Main) Gate should park in the large grass parking lot accessible from Jim Porter Way. Ample ADA parking is available near the North Gate entrance. Guests who wish to enter the South Gate should park at the bottom of the hill just east of Jim Porter Recreation Center and walk up the pathway to the South entrance.

    FOOD

    Outside food is permitted at Moonlight Amphitheatre. We encourage guests to enjoy a picnic under the stars. 

    GATE TIMES

    Gate times are typically 1 ½ hours prior to show time for Moonlight Concert Series events and are subject to change. Please do not attempt to enter the venue any earlier than the designated time. 

    GUEST CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional, and courteous manner by all venue personnel.

     

  • Guests will consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Management reserves the right to deny entry into the venue and/or refuse service to guests displaying visible signs of impairment/intoxication.

     

  • Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats. Guests must always possess a valid ticket and/or credential and provide it when requested. Guests will display wristbands for entry into lower seating areas.

     

  • Guests are permitted to either sit or stand during an event if they are only occupying the area in front of their ticketed seat. Standing in aisles and/or on seats is strictly prohibited.

     

  • Guests who engage in disruptive behavior (including foul/abusive language or obscene gestures), fighting, throwing objects, or attempting to enter unauthorized areas will be immediately removed from the venue without refund or reimbursement.

     

  • Guests will not smoke (including the use of vaporizers and e-cigarettes). Moonlight Amphitheatre is a non-smoking venue.

     

  • Guests will comply with all requests from venue staff regarding facility operations and emergency response procedures.

     

  • Guests will not damage or destroy venue property or violate any local, state, federal or Moonlight Amphitheatre policy.

     

  • Guests are encouraged to report any incident, concern, or inappropriate behavior to venue personnel.

     

  • Moonlight Amphitheatre staff have been trained to intervene where necessary to help ensure the above expectations are met. Please report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest Security or Staff team member as soon as possible.

     

  • Guests who choose not to adhere to these provisions will be subject to removal without refund. 

LAWN CHAIRS

Guests who have tickets in Reserved Lawn, Upper and Lower Lawn areas will be provided with a lawn chair. Guests may leave their chairs in place after the event. Guests are not permitted to bring their own lawn chairs. 

OVERNIGHT PARKING

There is no overnight parking permitted at the venue. Any unauthorized vehicles on site prior to an event or after an event will be towed at the owner's expense. 

RECYCLING

Moonlight Amphitheatre participates in a venue wide recycling program. You will find recycling bins located through-out the venue. Please recycle where possible. 

RE-ENTRY

Re-Entry is permitted at Moonlight Amphitheatre. If you exit the gates at any point, you must show a ticket for re-entry. Wristbands are not valid for re-entry. 

SECURITY

Venue security are located throughout the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment. 

SERVICE ANIMALS

Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited at Moonlight Amphitheatre with the exception of trained service animals and service animals in training for guests with disabilities. Service animals are welcome inside the venue, but must, at all times, remain on a leash or in a harness. Service animals should rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Moonlight Amphitheatre guests and employees may be asked to escort the animal off the premises. 

SMOKING

California law prohibits smoking in public assembly facilities. Moonlight Amphitheatre is located within Brengle Terrace Park and is a City of Vista Park. There is no smoking within City of Vista Parks. This includes immediately outside the venue, and in the parking lot. 

VENUE ACCESS

Guests may only sit in their ticketed seats. Upon entry in the Amphitheatre, wristbands will be provided to guests with tickets to the lower seating areas. Wristbands must be worn at all times for entry and re-entry into the lower seating areas. Guests must always possess a valid ticket and/or credential and provide it when requested.
